'East Coast Stars' is the inaugural single by Annapolis, Maryland based musician and producer, Dave Kuhn. The track is a potent testimony to closing the door on addiction and turning to face life unaided by the haze of narcotics. For all the warmth the song conjures, it's underpinned by intense vulnerability. Dave carried a heroin habit for nearly 15 years, during which time he experienced countless setbacks, car crashes and near-death moments. Friends died and the chaos mounted. In 2016 the devastation reached crescendo pitch in a swirl of police sirens, ambulances and feelings of complete emptiness, triggering a personal epiphany that led to Dave giving up the fight.

Now, with a year clean, 'East Coast Stars' represents Dave's painstaking journey from a life of deep sadness and loss to one of optimism and opportunity.

Dave grew up with Cascine's Jeff Bratton, who also got clean from heroin years back. With America squarely in the grip of its worst opiate epidemic ever, 'East Coast Stars' is a timely anthem for a wide array of suffering people. A portion of the track's proceeds will be donated to Samaritan House in Annapolis.
