Out today ~ Statues II by Spencer Zahn. Statues II is the second half of Zahn's contemporary opus, Statues. Construction-wise, Statues II is a puzzle, pieced together from fluctuating moments, minds, and tonal centers, accruing a sum far greater than its parts. Its title, too, mirrors a fascination with the sculpted, with the fleeting made permanent. On the album, Spencer says “a statue is a monument to a thing that was. As a musician, you’re always seeking a new sound. And mourning the change of what came before”. Listen HERE

Spencer Zahn shares second single "OST" from his upcoming album Statues II. On the track Zahn says: "OST started as a piano melody that I would repeat almost like a sample. In the end, BlankFor.ms made a tape loop out of the piano and I doubled it with a vibraphone to increase the human element of the melody. Chris Bullock provides additional shape to the melody and structure with his saxophone, flutes, and bass clarinet." Listen here

Today Spencer Zahn announces the second album in his Statues series. It launches Nov 17 as a limited edition gatefold vinyl, pressed on mahogany wax. The announcement is made alongside single "High Touch" about which Zahn says "this is a love song that is celebratory, triumphant even. It is a dedication much like the entire album". Pearly Drops are back! Today we announce their remix EP of sophomore album ‘A Little Disaster’ titled ‘Haunted Expansion Pack'. The first remix, "I Cry While You Sleep", comes from Dream, Ivory – a duo composed of brothers Louie and Christian Baello, with Christian AKA Ginseng. This version seamlessly blends Dream, Ivory's hallmark heavily distorted Shoegaze guitars with the radiant allure reminiscent of Nicolas Winding Refn's neon-soaked film aesthetics. Listen HERE

Happy release day @Pearlydrops! The Helsinki-duo's latest project, Haunted Expansion Pack, features reworks by Dream Ivory, Nourished by Time, and two original tracks. The genesis of 'Haunted' traces back to its inception during the A Little Disaster sessions. Yet, despite its origins, the song never found its place as part of the Pearly Drops' sophomore album. Today sees the release of NOIA's debut album. The LP was recorded between NOIA's studio in Brooklyn and her family’s home in Barcelona. I’m addition to her intricate sound designs, field recordings were central to the creation process. Everywhere Gisela went, so did a recording device - dinners with friends, voicemails, city sounds and nature ambiences. The resulting body of work is deeply autobiographical, yet instantly recognizable. The context uniquely NOIA’s, but the stuff of life visits us all. Listen HERE
